David Schreiber joined VLMMR in February of 2017 as an Associate Attorney primarily practicing in the areas of general liability and medical malpractice defense. In his years as a civil litigator, David has defended his client’s in all stages of litigation including pre-suit defense, alternative dispute resolution, trial practice and appellate advocacy.
Prior to joining the firm, David was an Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the Bronx County District Attorney handling misdemeanor and felony offenses through all stages of litigation from inception, investigation, grand jury presentation through to trial.
David attended Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania where he earned a BA in Psychology. After graduation he worked as a Deputy Finance Director in two political campaigns and then set his sights on law school. He graduated Albany Law School in 2013 Magna Cum Laude having been a Teaching Assistant in Criminal Law for two semesters, a member of the Journal of Science and Technology and a Senior Editor for the NYSBA Government Law & Policy Journal. David enjoys tennis, guitar, the alto saxophone, oil painting and soft pastels.
David was named a Super Lawyers New York Rising Star in 2021, a distinction awarded to no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state annually.
