Mark McAndrew

 

For more than 25 years, Mark McAndrew has litigated complex civil cases and is known for his dogged preparedness, commitment, and exceptional instinct before and during trial.

Mark’s clients include many of the top medical professionals and facilities, including prominent physicians, healthcare providers, hospitals and skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, as well as healthcare clients in OSHA claims that arose out of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Mark represents well-known business-owners, attorneys, other professional service providers throughout the greater metropolitan area.

After graduating New York University in 1991, Mark attended St. John’s University Law School, obtaining his Juris Doctorate in 1994. Mark is a founding member of the New York State Medical Defense Bar Association, a member of the New York State Bar Association and a member of the Defense Research Institute.

During law school, Mark clerked for a medical defense firm Amabile & Erman, PC.  He accepted an associate position at Martin Clearwater & Bell upon graduation from law school.  In 1996, he was recruited by Shaub Ahmuty Citrin & Spratt, LLP where he remained until he became a founding member of Benvenuto, Arciero & McAndrew in 2000. He joined VLMMR in 2009, and is now the Senior Trial Partner.

Mark has been admitted to practice in the States of New York, New Jersey & Connecticut, as well as in Federal Court, in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.  Mark has achieved New York Metro Super Lawyers status, annually, since 2015. Mark is highly regarded by the judiciary, opposing counsel and other members of the bar.

Over the last 15 years, Mark has volunteered to coach and administer youth sports in his community, including girls and boys soccer, baseball/softball, and basketball. He also volunteers with the Adaptive Sports Foundation at Windham Mountain where he teaches adults and children with cognitive and physical disabilities to ski.
