Matthew Bialor specializes in the defense of physicians, dentists, hospitals, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Coming from a family of doctors and dentists, Matt has a strong and unique understanding of the complex nature of the healthcare system and the importance of providing superior legal representation during trying times. Matt’s legal experience also includes general liability and insurance defense, employment law, commercial disputes, and personal injury cases.
Matt’s unwavering loyalty and dedication to his clients includes immense preparation, early and comprehensive case analysis of the issues and facts, working closely with top medical experts, and taking a personalized hands-on proactive approach in each case while seeking to make appropriate dispositive motions. His intuitive and dogged litigation techniques translate to him obtaining numerous and frequent dismissals of high exposure cases and even voluntary discontinuances during discovery for clients.
Prior to joining VLMMR, Matthew was an associate for several years at Westermann, Sheehy, Keenan, Samaan & Aydelott, LLP, another well-known medical malpractice defense firm in Westchester County, where he was involved in all aspects of litigation from inception through trials and appeals.
Matt earned his Bachelor of Science from Kean University in 2012. Matt then earned his Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law 2016 where he was on the Dean’s List and was a Co-Founder of the Health Law Society.
Since law school, Matt has resided in Westchester County. Outside of work, Matthew enjoys playing and watching golf and tennis.
Matt was named a Super Lawyers New York Rising Star in both 2021 and 2022, a distinction awarded to no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the NYC metropolitan area annually.
